Los Angeles improviser: Jeanne Taylor

Jeanne Taylor

is a performer, writer and producer. She can be seen in the new episodic, Mixology, starting in February, 2014.

Additionally, Jeanne's very proud to have won two Leading Actress Awards, Best Comedy, Audience Favorite and Women Filmmaker awards for the short film she wrote and starred in entitled, The Co-Star (about auditioning for one line parts in Hollywood). Her second short, The Co-Star: Master Acting Class (about the Hollywood Master Acting Class) had it's world premiere in January, 2014 at The Egyptian Theatre. She has played on improv teams in Chicago, Detroit, and L.A., and is a Upright Citizen Brigade Associate Member. Her all lady improv team, Tiny Marbles, hosts a show at The Clubhouse. Other comedy includes, standup at UCB, The IMPROV and The Comedy Store.

Jeanne is classically trained and has studied with Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Abigail Deser (Steppenwolf), G. Charles Wright (The Middle), Ada Brownmather (Juilliard), Lynn Redgrave (Canon, Beverly Hills), and Kyle Donnelly (The Actors' Center, Chicago).

Jeanne has performed in over 40 plays in Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles. Favorites are: 30 Story Masterpieces (Hayworth Theatre, LA); Present Laughter (Meadow Brook Theatre, Detroit); The Wedding Band (Attic Theatre, Detroit); Waiting for the Parade (The Fourth Street Playhouse, Detroit); The Good Doctor & Richard III (The Knightsbridge, LA); and, Jane Chambers: In Her Own Words (Zebra Crossing, Chicago)

Jeanne holds a B.S. from W.M.U. in Kalamazoo (where she met her hubby) and a M.S. from C.S.U.N.; and, is a retired M.F.T. (Marriage, Family Therapist).
